Adachan Madumarov

Adachan Madumarov is a Kyrgyz politician . He is currently (March 2012) chairman of the opposition party United Kyrgyzstan ( Butun Kyrgyzstan ). He was also President of Parliament and a candidate for the 2011 presidential election

Life

In the 2011 presidential election, Madumarov took second place behind Almasbek Atambayev with 14.7 percent (equivalent to 273,577 votes) .

On March 1, 2012, he appeared at a demonstration of about 10,000 people in Osh and demanded the resignation of the government of Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov and the punishment of those responsible for the violence in the overthrow of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev in April 2010 and the unrest in southern Kyrgyzstan in June of the same year.
