Adam Block

Adam Block (born January 1973 in Warwick ) is an American astronomer and asteroid explorer.

Adam Block was born in Rhode Island , but his family moved to Stone Mountain when he was five years old. He studied astronomy and physics at the University of Arizona and began his career at the Kitt Peak National Observatory , later moving to the Mount Lemmon Observatory . Block is a specialist in CCD photography.

He discovered the asteroid (45298) Williamon on January 5, 2000 .

On June 18, 2008, the asteroid (172525) Adamblock was named after him.
