The Haima Freema (initially Hainan Freema ) is a compact van of the Chinese brand Haima built between 2000 and 2016 and was one of the best-selling vehicles in this segment in China.

From 1992 to 2006 Haima worked closely with the Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda . This connection resulted in the first generation of the Freema, which is a licensed Mazda Premacy . In 2005, the Freema accounted for 80 percent of all vans sold in China.

When Mazda left the company at the end of 2006, the brand name changed from Hainan to Haima.

On September 15, 2012, Haima launched the second generation of the Freema. Either an 88 kW (120 PS) strong 1.6-liter petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 90 kW (122 PS) strong 1.8-liter petrol engine with a continuously variable transmission takes over the drive . Both variants are available in the equipment variants Comfort or Deluxe and also available as a seven-seater for an extra charge.

Electric version (since 2011)

Since 2011 there has been a version with an electric motor, the Freema EV . This will still be offered after the versions with combustion engines were discontinued in 2016.
