Adam Colonia (born August 12, 1634 in Rotterdam ; buried September 10, 1685 in London ) was a Dutch painter.

Adam Colonia was a son of the painter Isaack Colonia and the elite Jans. He was raised by his father, and probably his grandfather, Adam Louisz. Colonia trained. On December 25, 1661 he married Cornelia Ariens. In 1670 he moved to London, where he stayed until his death. He presumably died on January 14, 1685, but was not buried until September 10 at the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London.

Colonia mainly created landscapes with shepherd staffage. The theme of the “Annunciation to the Shepherds”, which he painted in numerous variations, was particularly popular with him. With his pictures he follows Jan Daemen Cool and Egbert van der Poel . His works themselves pointed the way for the work of Cornelis Snellinck .
