Adam Fiedler

Adam Fiedler (born December 19, 1965 in Ruda Śląska ) is a former Polish / German basketball player . The 1.97 meter long winger played for Brandt Hagen in the basketball league .

career

Fiedler played in Poland for Pogoń Ruda Śląska and Stal Bobrek Bytom. He became a Polish national player and took part in the selection of the European Championships in 1985 and 1987.

Fiedler came to Germany in the early 1990s and played for Brandt Hagen in the Bundesliga from 1991 to 1999 . In the 1993/94 game year he won the DBB Cup with Hagen under coach Peter Krüsmann and became German runner-up. In the Bundesliga, Fiedler has scored a total of 2749 points over the years. In the 1999/2000 season he strengthened the Schwelmer Baskets and rose with the team in the second division.

After his competitive sports career, Fiedler remained loyal to basketball as a trainer and, among other things, looked after BBV Hagen in the regional league from 2006 to 2009. As an old man's player, Fiedler, who works for the Orthopedic Institute in Volmarstein, became German champion in the age group 35+ with the VFK Hagen in 2010.
