Adam Ore

Adam Ore (Latvian Ādams Ore ; born June 12, 1855 in Salisburg , Livonia ; † June 10, 1927 in Riga ) was a Livonian organist and composer .

Life

Adam Ore grew up in a Baltic German family in the municipality of Salisburg (today Mazsalaca in Latvia). At the age of 20 he began studying organ and piano in Riga. He then continued his training in Stuttgart and Naples . Adam Ore has given concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands and other countries. He lived his last years in his parents' house again.

Adam Ore composed organ pieces, songs and a German-language opera Gunda , which was premiered in Berlin in 1899 .
