Adamantios Arampatzis

Adamantios Arampatzis is a German sports scientist and university lecturer .

Life

Arampatzis received his doctorate in 1995 at the German Sport University Cologne in movement science and sports medicine on the subject of "Mathematical modeling for checking and identifying movement solutions in artistic gymnastics ". In 2002 he completed his habilitation in biomechanics .

At the Humboldt University in Berlin , he took up a professorship for movement science and took over the management of the department for training and movement science.

His main research interests include the interaction of the central nervous system with the peripheral system and related changes in the course of life as well as the adaptation to changing conditions. He is one of the authors of the "Berlin Method", which gives recommendations for tendon training to improve performance, prevention and therapy.
