The Adams Glacier is a small glacier immediately south of the Miers Glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . The formation zones of both glaciers are separated by a low mountain ridge, while this is completely surrounded by the lower sections of both glaciers, both of which flow into Lake Miers .
The New Zealand geodetic team of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) named the glacier after Jameson Adams (1880-1962), deputy leader of the Nimrod Expedition (1907-1909) under the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton .
