Adaro was a musical group founded in 1997 that played medieval rock .

style

After they had mainly used Spanish medieval songs from the 13th and 14th centuries on the first CD, their subsequent publications were a dedication to the minnesong of the late High Middle Ages . In addition to texts by the Nuremberg master singer Hans Sachs , there are also titles written by Walther von der Vogelweide and Oswald von Wolkenstein .

Concerts

The traditional highlight of their concerts was the piece "Der Todten Dantz". In this piece Christoph Pelgen, disguised as death, played quite aggressive tones on the Krummhorn. Konstanze Kulinsky, on the other hand, plays the part of life on her hurdy-gurdy romantic and beautiful melodies as spring in a green dress with a flower hat. This piece, which varies greatly in tempo, was very varied due to the division into the two very different parts (death & life) with their two very different melodies and moods despite the length of over eight minutes. Because of the arrangement with synthesizers and percussion effects, this piece was not played 100% live, but was based on a recorded backing track , to which the musicians all played live on stage.
