Adega

Private Adegas can be found in the wine-growing region on the Azores island of Faial

Adega ( port. ) Means wine cellar , Adega cooperativa means winegrowers' cooperative . This term can therefore be found more often on the labels of Portuguese wines .

Often times, an Adega is not a classic wine cellar. The Portuguese also call outlets for wine and their houses in the sometimes private wine fields as Adega, in which they process the grape varieties .
