Adem Yılmaz

Adem Yılmaz (* 1955 in Yerköy , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish artist who became known for multimedia objects and concepts for exhibitions.

From 1974 to 1977 he studied chemistry in Turkey. The artist has lived in Cologne since 1977. In 1983 he finished studying painting at the local university of applied sciences.

In 1993 Yılmaz took part in the 45th Venice Biennale with his installation Inbetween . This was the official Turkish contribution to the art event.

Adem Yılmaz should not be confused with a member of the Sauerland group of the same name .
