The building at Aderstedter Strasse 5 was a listed residential building in Bernburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It was at the western end of the Aderstedter road on the southern side, near the Wipper Bridge on a little further south running Wipper .

Architecture and history

The building was erected in the period around 1840/50 in the manner of a country house as a brick construction. The facade was plastered and provided with an elaborately designed plaster decor. The loggia that originally existed on the northeast side had fluted pilasters and Corinthian capitals, but was no longer preserved in 2017. The gable-facing building was covered by a gable roof . The house was surrounded by an enclosed garden, although the historical enclosure was no longer in place in large parts. In the garden there was a building with a flat roof, which probably originally served as a garden hall.

The building stood empty for a long time and was in urgent need of renovation. After being demolished, the building was removed from the list of monuments in 2019.

In the monument register for the city of Bernburg , the residential building was registered as a monument under registration number 094 97926 .
