The adhesiolysis is an operative loosening adhesions, mostly by means of a laparoscopy ( laparoscopy ) to the through adhesions to eliminate caused discomfort and dysfunction. Adhesiolysis is usually used for adhesions in the abdomen.

The loosening of adhesions inside and outside a joint is called arthrolysis , the loosening of a tendon from its adhesions is called tenolysis .
