The administrative map is a map series of Lower Austria issued from 1867 to 1882 .

The map series on a scale of 1: 28,000 (1 inch corresponds to 400 Viennese fathoms , 1 "= 400 °) was created on behalf of the Association for Regional Studies of Lower Austria under the direction of kk Rat Anton Steinhauser between 1867 and 1882. The publisher was the association itself, who paid special attention to all cultural details such as forests, fields, meadows, vineyards, villages, detached houses, rivers, paths, bridges, etc. On a total of 111 sheets of 52 × 53 cm each, the entire area of ​​what was then Lower Austria was included At that time also Vienna, as well as neighboring areas, as far as this resulted from the sheet cut. The cartographic framework came from the cadastral surveys . Through the publication, the sheet cut and the moderate pricing, the association pursued the goal of making the map accessible to a wide audience. Leadership and new edition

Under the direction of Karl Peucker , map sheets were updated, with some sheets being revised as a whole, others only with selected additions. The map series was to be reissued under Peucker from 1914 as a new administrative map of Lower Austria on a scale of 1: 30,000 as a multi-colored map series, but this request was abandoned after the collapse of the monarchy. There is only one ready-made test sheet that depicts the area between Floridsdorf and Wolkersdorf .
