The Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi is located in the Turkish province of Aydın and was founded on July 3, 1992. It was named after the Turkish Prime Minister Adnan Menderes , who was executed as one of the main culprits after the Istanbul pogrom because of the “organization of anti-Greek riots in 1955” .
