Adolf Clemens

Adolf Clemens (born September 17, 1942 in Cologne ) is a German photographer .

From 1961 to 1966, Adolf Clemens studied photography with Otto Steinert at the Folkwang School of Design in Essen. From 1969 on he taught at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences in the field of design. Because of his special artistic achievements in the field of photography he was appointed professor in 1975. Over the years he has created series of portraits of cultural workers in Germany, Poland and Hungary.

Adolf Clemens is a member of the German Photographic Academy e. V.

Clemens has lived in Münster since his retirement in 2008.
