Adolf Meyer (politician, 1890)

Adolf Meyer (born February 27, 1890 in Hittfeld , Harburg district, † February 7, 1980 in Seevetal ) was a German politician (CDU). From 1951 to 1955 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament.

Meyer was born in Hittfeld in Lower Saxony. His family has been on their farm for 500 years. He attended elementary school for four years and then the secondary school for three years. He went to an agricultural school again for three years before doing military service from 1909 to 1910. During the First World War, Meyer was a soldier from 1914 to 1918. After his return he worked for a seed processing company and cider factory and also in an agricultural association. He was a board member of the Reichslandbund . Before 1933 he was a member of the district council. After the end of the Second World War he was from May 6, 1951 to May 5, 1955 a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament in its second electoral term.
