Stockhausen was active as a striker at the Frankfurt soccer club . At the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris, this club provided a rugby team expanded by two from Stuttgart, which played a game against the French selection on October 14, 1900 and lost 27:17. Because the IOC officially added the competition to the program of the 1900 Summer Olympics , the members of the rugby team are ranked second in the Olympic Games .
