Adolfo Domínguez

Adolfo Domínguez Fernández (born May 14, 1950 in Puebla de Trives , Ourense ) is a Spanish entrepreneur and fashion designer .

He studied design and cinematography in Paris, with further studies in London.

In the early 1970s, the designer took over his father's tailoring and opened his first own shop in Orense in 1973. Six years later, Dominguez started a campaign with the slogan "La arruga es bella" and his career began. In the eighties he set up new branches in Spain and abroad. In 1997, Adolfo Dominguez SA was the first Spanish designer company to be listed on the Spanish stock exchange.

Adolfo Dominguez SA currently has a network of around 400 branches, 98 of which are outside Spain. Annual sales around 182 million euros.
