Johann Christian Adolph Windel (born November 6, 1806 in Pyrmont ; † November 5, 1886 there ) was a German judge and politician .

Windel was the son of the businessman Friedrich Ludwig Windel and his wife Dorothea nee Böhmers. He married Marianne Freybe on November 12, 1839 in Pyrmont. Windel attended the Bückeburg high school for three years and then switched to the Lemgo high school. From 1825 he studied law in Marburg, from 1827 in Göttingen. After his first state examination, he became an accessist in Pyrmont in 1828, where he was admitted to the bar in 1831. In 1834 and again in 1835 he was judicial assessor in Pyrmont. From 1839 he worked again as a lawyer. In 1841 he became a judicial officer and councilor in Rhoden before he became a senior pension officer there in 1843. From 1850 until his retirement in 1879 he was district court director in Pyrmont.

1950 and again 185 to 1863 he was a member of the special state parliament for the Principality of Pyrmont . He was President of the Special Parliament from 1862 to 1863. From 1849 to 1851 (8th constituency) and again from 1855 to 1863 and from 1868 to 1884 (constituency Pyrmont) he was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont .
