Adrian de Wrede

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Adrian de Wrede (* in the 16th century; † February 4, 1599 in Grandvillier / France ) was canon in Münster .

Life

The ancestry of Adrian de Wrede is not known. In 1588, after the resignation of Canon Adolf von Raesfeld, he was given an exam and then went to France to study. He died here and was buried here too. A dispute arose over who was entitled to this prebend. That is why the cathedral chapter negotiated on June 7, 1599. The Turnar took advantage of Adrian's prebende , as neither the Pope nor the Bishop had made any commissions for this. So he nominated Otto von Dorgelo , who was canon in Osnabrück . This took possession of the prebende on June 15th.
