Adrien Barrère , stage name of Adrien Baneux (born November 13, 1874 in Paris ; † May 19, 1931 ibid) was a French theater and film poster artist and caricaturist.

After studying law and medicine, Adrien Barrère devoted himself to caricature as an autodidact . His first works already brought him success. His poster with caricatures from the Medical Faculty of Paris was very popular at the time - no student without a copy - and reached a print run of 420,000 copies.

Adrien Barrère has worked for the satirical magazine "Fantasio" since it was founded in 1906, mostly delivering political caricatures. He created posters for the Parisian revue theaters and cinemas. He created more than 200 posters for the Pathé company.

He appeared at the Salon des Humoristes in 1911 as a portraitist and caricaturist.

Because of bone tuberculosis, he was exempted from military service in 1914, but traveled to the front and field hospitals as a satirist

In 1929 he exhibited again at the Salon des Humoristes.
