Advance-Rumely was a manufacturer of initially steam-powered tractors and other agricultural equipment, mainly threshers, in LaPorte (Indiana) , USA . It was founded as a foundry in the 19th century by Meinrad Rumely, who immigrated from Alsace, and his brother John Rumely , and later by Meinrad's son Dr. Edward Rumely continued. → Alexander Würtenberger

In 1910, the company launched a large tractor powered by an internal combustion engine. This tractor, called OilPull , ran on petroleum and had a characteristic oil cooler over the front axle. He became very successful because of his strength. In 1911, the two companies Gaar-Scott and Advance Thresher Company were taken over. In 1923 the competitor Aultman-Taylor was bought.

Towards the end of the 1920s, the demand for smaller tractors increased. Rumely therefore acquired the rights to the Toro Motor Cultivator from Toro in 1927 and marketed it under the name DoAll from 1929. Since this tractor did not sell that well, Rumely tried to build the 6A and the IdealPull, which also did not sell as well as the old OilPulls. After a failed export attempt to Russia, the company was bought by Allis-Chalmers in 1931 . The production of Advance-Rumely tractors was then discontinued.
