Aultman-Taylor was a manufacturer of tractors based in Mansfield, Ohio , in the early 20th century . The company was founded in 1890. Initially specialized in the manufacture of engines and combine harvesters , Aultman-Taylor produced mainly tractors from around 1910 onwards.

The most widespread (and still often found in the USA today) was the model 30–60 (from around 1912). Other models were designated 15–30 and 22–45.

Until the 1920s and 1930s, such teams (in connection with combine harvesters - for example from the Holt company) were the ultimate in wheat cultivation in the western United States. Because the Aultman-Taylor was also ideal for plowing. The tractor pulled eight 14 inch (35 cm) plowshares on the level, six of them on a ten percent gradient.

As in Germany, the traditional brands went downhill during the world wars and the global economic crisis . Aultman-Taylor was sold in 1923 to Advance-Rumely , which was founded in 1853 by Mainrad Rumely, who had emigrated from Baden . This was again taken over by Allis-Chalmers in 1931 . In 1985 the whole thing came back into German hands - namely that of Deutz and then operated under the name Deutz-Allis . But only for a short time, because Deutz-Allis was taken over by AGCO (manufacturer of world brands such as Fendt and Massey Ferguson ) in 1990 .
