Equationes Mathematicae

Aequationes Mathematicae (Aequ. Math., Aequationes Math.) Is a mathematics journal published by Springer Verlag since 1968 . 6 issues appear per year.

According to the publisher , topics are functional equations, dynamic systems, iteration theory, combinatorics and geometry. When it was founded in 1968, the topics mentioned were functional equations, combinatorics and numerical mathematics.

The 2019 editor is Zsolt Páles from the University of Debrecen. Honorary editors are János Aczél (the first editor) and Ludwig Reich . The editors also include Branko Grünbaum , Morris W. Hirsch , Cheryl Praeger , and Vera Sós . Formerly included, among others Hellmuth Kneser , Paul Erdos , Lothar Collatz , Louis Mordell , HSM Coxeter , Otto main , Francesco Tricomi , William Thomas Tutte , Richard S. Varga and Alexander Ostrowski (the first editor honorary) to editors. The magazine was originally published by Birkhäuser Verlag in collaboration with the University of Waterloo .
