The Aero Commander 100 is a travel and training aircraft developed by the American manufacturer Volaircraft Incorporated . After Volaircraft was acquired in July 1965, the model was marketed by Aero Commander , a division of Rockwell-Standard .

history

This aircraft was developed by Volaircraft Incorporated in the early 1960s. In 1960 the first flight and the operating license took place. The fuselage was made of tubular steel that was clad with metal. The tail unit and the wings were also made of metal. The variant with three seats was called the Volaire 1035 , the 4-seater with a 150 hp engine was called the Volaire 1050 . In 1965 it was manufactured by the manufacturer Aero Commander under the name Aero Commander 100 , from 1968 to 1971 as the Aero Commander Darter with IFR equipment and from the beginning of 1971 to the end of 1971 as the Aero Commander Lark with a 180 hp Lycoming-O-320-A2B - Motor driven out. In 1971 the manufacturer Phoenix Aircraft took over the manufacturing rights for the aircraft type, but no longer manufactured any machines.
