Afo is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .
geography
Afo, together with the headland of Pangaimotu ( Moaingatu ) and its bigger sister Tapana, forms its own small lagoon east of the center of Vavaʻu . The island is located at the western entrance to the lagoon with Hinakauea Beach . To the west is Kapa .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vavaʻu group, Afo is occasionally hit by cyclones .
