African-Brazilian Connection

The African-Brazilian Connection was an American jazz formation .

It was founded in 1991 by jazz pianist Don Pullen and combined American contemporary jazz of the 1990s with elements of traditional Afro-American and Brazilian music. Pullen's main players in the band were: Guilherme Franco (percussion) and JT Lewis (drums), Nilson Matta (bass), Mor Thiam (percussion), Carlos Ward (alto saxophone, flute).

The African-Brazilian Connection recorded three CDs . It broke up with the death of Don Pullen in 1995.
