Africa Day (Africa)

The Africa Day is an annual commemoration of the founding of the Organization of African Unity on 25. May 1963 . It is considered to be the predecessor organization of the African Union founded in 2001 . On that day the charter of 30 African states was signed in Addis Ababa ( Ethiopia ) . Since then, May 25 has been a public holiday in many African countries .
