Agar diffusion test
Agar diffusion test is a generic term for immunological and microbiological processes in which the biological reagents to be examined spread through diffusion in an agar medium .
- When examining antigens with antibodies , the immunodiffusion test is used (see also immunoelectrophoresis ).
- The plate diffusion test is used to examine compounds that inhibit growth ( inhibitors such as antibiotics ) or promote growth ( vitamins , amino acids ) on microorganisms . A special application of the plate diffusion test is the inhibition court test .
