The Agariciidae are a family of hard corals (Scleractinia). They live in the tropical coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific and the Caribbean . Most species of the family grow close to the substrate or form leafy structures so that they often look like a loose head of lettuce. Like most other hard corals, the Agariciidae live in a symbiotic relationship with small algae ( zooxanthellae ) that provide the corals with nutrients.

In the marine aquarium , the species of the genus Pavona are among the easiest hard corals to keep.
