Agasicles
Agasikles , also Agesikles , Hegesikles ( Greek Ἀγασικλῆς, Ἀγησικλῆς, Ἡγησικλῆς ) was a Spartan king from the house of the Eurypontids around the first half to the middle of the 6th century BC. Chr.
Agasikles was the son of Archidamos and father of Ariston . During the reigns of Agasicles and Leon , the Spartans suffered a defeat against Tegea . Pausanias , on the other hand, claims that Agasicles did not wage wars.
