Leon (Sparta)

Leon ( Greek Λέων Léōn ), the son of Eurykratidas , was a king of Sparta from the house of the Agiads . He and Agasikles , the Spartan king of the house of the Eurypontids , won every battle, but they were defeated against Tegea . After his death, his son Anaxandridas II ascended the throne. This was finally able to defeat the Tegeates.
