Agencia 19 de June

The Agencia 19 de Junio , also known as Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay (not to be confused with the building of the same name in Ciudad Vieja), is a building in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

The building, planned for its construction in 1957 as a result of a competition held in 1946 and built from 1965 to 1976, is located in the Barrio Cordón on Avenida 18 de Julio 1654-1670 and the streets Minas , Guayabo and Magallanes opposite the Plaza de los Treinta y Tres . Ildefonso Aroztegui was responsible as the architect . Agencia 19 de Junio ​​houses a branch of the Banco de la República (BROU).
