Aglaia is a female given name adopted from the ancient Greek name Ἀγλαΐα . In Greek mythology, Aglaia is the goddess of grace, see Aglaia (Charis) . The name comes from the ancient Greek noun ἀγλαΐα (shine, splendor, splendid beauty) and has been in use in Germany since the 18th century. Further form: Aglaja.
