Aglantha digital is a jellyfish - kind from the family of rhopalonematidae .

description

Aglantha digital becomes 10 to 40 millimeters long, the shade diameter is about half the height. It is thimble-shaped with a small, conical extension at the top. The side walls are thin and the muscles under the umbrella are very pronounced. The stem in the center of the body, serving as the digestive tract, is slender, the stomach is small, and the mouth has four simple lips. The eight elongated gonads are located below the umbrella, near the base of the stem . The animals have 80 or more uniform tentacles and eight club-shaped statocysts on the edge .

The species occurs in all northern seas and also in the North and Western Baltic Seas.
