Agnes Rose Klu

Agnes Rose Klu (née Riley; also incorrectly: Reilly; also: Aunty Rose , died on March 31, 2008 ) was a Gambian prison officer .

Life

Klu had been employed in Gambian prisons since at least the early 2000s. Around 2003 she was Superintendent and at the latest in 2006 Deputy Director General of Prisons of the Gambia Prison Service .

In 2006 she was awarded the Order of the Republic of The Gambia by the Gambian President Yahya Jammeh at the member level .

After David Colley was fired in June 2007, she was appointed Director General . In March 2008 she promoted 400 employees.

On March 31, 2008, she was found dead in her home. She was married to Emmanuel Klu and had children.
