Agua Bella
Agua Bella (dt. Beautiful waters ) is a Peruvian music group that has been very successful since its foundation in February 2000 in the style of Chicha in Peru , parts of Chile , Colombia and Ecuador and among Peruvian immigrants in the USA and can now boast several CDs. All members of Agua Bella are women who were selected in a casting . Over the years, some of the original members have left the group to try a solo career or to work in another professional field, with the result that none of the founding members of Agua Bella are in the group today. That is why concerts of the last line-up of Agua Bella were also advertised as "Nueva Generación" (Eng. New Generation ), the current line-up is called "La Nueva Etapa".
Story of Agua Bella
In February 2000, their manager, José Castillo Cáceres, introduced the young women who were able to convince the jury of their skills and looks at the casting for "Agua Bella". The young women of the first generation of Agua Bella were:

A short time later, Agua Bella was able to present his first CD production: "Cariño loco", an album on which, among other things, the hits "Imposible olvidarte" (Eng. Impossible to forget you ), "Merezco un nuevo amor" ( Eng . I deserve a new love ), "Lucerito" (shooting star) found. This CD sold so many times that it was awarded a gold record .
The first professional concert took place in Iquitos. Within a year the group completed almost 350 concerts, plus some television appearances. Finally, there was even a tour of Ecuador. At the "Festival Internacional del Cusco" that has been taking place since 1991, Agua Bella was the only Cumbia group that was allowed to perform in 2001.
Due to the great success, the release of another CD was only the logical consequence. This CD was released in 2002 and was entitled "Agua Bella, sólo hay una" (Eng. Agua Bella is unique ). On this CD you can find songs like "Pasito Tun Tun" (Eng. The Tun Tun step ), "Luna bonita" (Eng. Beautiful moon ), "Agua de veneno" (Eng. Poisoned water ), "Renuncio a ti" (Eng. I can do without you ).
As a result, there were some changes in the line-up of Agua Bella. In 2005 Agua Bella was the first Peruvian cumbia group to release a double album. This is called "El fieston de Agua Bella" (Eng. The giant festival with Agua Bella ). The most popular hits of this double album are "Paloma del alma mía" ( Eng . Dove of my soul ), "El silbido" (Eng. The whistle ) and "Rockola Agua Bella". In recent years there have been further tours through the USA , Canada , Spain and Italy .

The current line-up is also known under the name "La nueva etapa" (Eng. The new stage ). Because of her great popularity, Giuliana Rengifo is particularly involved on tours abroad.
José Castillo, manager of Agua Bella has announced a new CD for spring 2007.
