Agustín Morales Hernández
Agustín Morales Hernández (born March 11, 1808 in La Paz , † November 27, 1872 ibid) was a Bolivian military, politician and president.
Life
Agustín Morales Hernández was initially regarded as an ardent advocate of the controversial President José Mariano Melgarejo , who gave him high government posts and u. a. the supreme command of the military. Agustín Morales Hernández later decided to switch sides. He joined the numerous critics of the president and became president of Bolivia himself after his removal . He was in office from January 15, 1871 until his assassination on November 27, 1872. While Congress was discussing an offer to resign from Agustín Morales Hernández (he was considered an angry and ruthless head of government), the latter burst into anger and attacked a military adjutant. When he also hit his nephew, who was trying to settle the dispute, he was shot by him.
