Aheu (alternative names: Aho, Kha Tong Luang, Thavung, Phon Soung, mostly So in Thailand) is a language spoken in Southeast Asia .
distribution
In the 1990s there were about 750 speakers of this language in Thailand , mainly in the Song Dao district , Sakon Nakhon province, and about 1,770 speakers in Laos on the banks of the Theun River , east and south of Lak Sao in the Khamkeut district , Khammuan province , as well as in the province of Bolikhamsai . The total number of speakers is around 2,520.
Characteristics
Aheu has four different sound formations , which are located between clear and strongly ventilated. In addition, the language shows the glottalization of the final consonants.
