The Ahyi is a submarine volcano in the northern area of the archipelago of the Mariana Islands , about 18 km south-east of the island of Farallon de Pajaros .
The peak of the volcano is currently 137 m below the water surface. Discoloration of the sea water over the volcano has already been observed several times. On April 24 and 25, 2001, the seismic station on the Rangiroa Atoll ( Tuamotu Archipelago) recorded explosive submarine eruptions. The event could be well localized (+/- 15 km) to an area near the southern base of Ahyi.
