Aimé Steck

Aimé Steck (born November 24, 1892 in Constantine (Algeria), † June 12, 1966 in Nogent-sur-Oise ) was a French composer .

Life

Aimé Steck was a student of Charles-Marie Widor at the Paris Conservatory . In 1922 he won the Second Second Grand Prix de Rome . He worked as a teacher at the Conservatory of Versailles and choirmaster at the Opéra-Comique and worked for the radio.

The focus of Steck's compositional work was church music; in addition to sacred songs, he composed numerous motets and organ works.
