Ainbal ( Arabic عين بعال) is a village in Lebanon in the administrative district of Chouf .
Surname
The name goes back to the Aramaic term for "eye of God".
geography
The village belongs to the Chouf Es Souayjani Association (Federation of Chouf Es Souayjani Municipalities, 1979). The surrounding places are: Baakline (بعقلين), Gharifeh (غريفة), Aathrine (عطرين) and Mazraat Ech Chouf (مزرعة الشوف). The local area covers 370 hectares and is at an altitude of 850 m above sea level . Some caves and the ruins of Kouroum el-Qarya (German vineyard village) are worth seeing . The south-western tip of the local area is still forested.
