Aipytos (son of Hippothoos)
Aipytos ( Greek Αἴπυτος ) is a king of Arcadia in Greek mythology .
Aipytos was the son of Hippothoos and ruled the ancient Arcadian city of Trapezous . He forcibly entered the sanctuary of Poseidon Hippios at Mantineia , which all mortals were forbidden to enter. As a punishment, he went blind immediately and died a little later. His son was Kypselus , who also became king of the Arcadian.
