Air Thanlwin ( Yangon Airways until September 2019 ) is a Myanmar airline based in Yangon and based at Yangon International Airport .
history
Yangon Airways was founded in 1996 as a joint venture between Myanma Airways and the Thai Krong-Sombat Co. From 1997 to 2005, MHE-Mayflower Co. gradually took over all shares in the airline and is therefore the sole owner of Yangon Airways. The airline's name comes from the official name of Rangoon : Yangon . On October 1, 2019, the airline changed its name to Air Thanlwin .
