Aja (born Barbara Lynn Tanguay on July 14, 1963 in Westbrook , Maine , † September 18, 2006 in Mexico ) was an American porn actress . She was also known as Lucia Luciano . She borrowed her stage name, which was pronounced like Asia , from the album of the same name by the jazz rock band Steely Dan .

In 1994, Carnal Comics published an adult biographical comic about Aja.

From 2000, Aja was the owner and producer of the company Pleasure Dome Productions , which had specialized in the production of pornographic films.

As an actress, Aja has been involved in more than 170 homosexual and heterosexual films.

She left two children.
