Akarassos

Akarassos was an ancient city in the region of Kabalia in Asia Minor , which politically was mostly part of Lycia .

The city, which most likely was on the site of today's Elmalı , was the seat of a bishop in late antiquity; The titular Acarassus of the Roman Catholic Church goes back to the diocese .
