Akiko Yamamoto
Akiko Yamamoto (* 20th century ) is a Japanese pianist .
Life
As a four year old, Yamamoto studied in Tokyo with Nobuko Amada. With the help of the Meiji-Yasuda Quality of Life Foundation and the Japanese Culture Foundation , she continued her education with Mikhail Voskresensky at the Tchaïkovski Conservatory in Moscow , where she also completed it. She played concerts in Western Europe, Russia , Japan and the USA . About their performance with the Quatuor Ebène the NDR-Feuilleton writes: “In the pianist Akiko Yamamoto the quartet has found a congenial partner ... Akiko Yamamoto gives the strings enough space and air to breathe, but can also grapple powerfully and passionately wherever Brahms prescribes it. "
Awards
- In 2004 she won the XIV International Robert Schumann Competition for piano and voice in Zwickau .
- In 2002 she won the second prize at the music competition in Geneva .
