Peter Suntinger

Peter Suntinger (born April 20, 1965 ) is an Austrian politician ( FPK , formerly BZÖ ) and wood sculptor. He is mayor of the community of Großkirchheim and was a member of the Carinthian state parliament from 2009 to 2013 .

Suntinger was sworn in as a member of the Carinthian state parliament on March 31, 2009 and is the area spokesperson for rural areas and agriculture in the Freedom State Parliament Club. Initially, Suntinger belonged to the BZÖ, after the Carinthian BZÖ split off from the Federal BZÖ as FPK at the end of 2009, Suntinger is a member of the FPK. Since the state elections in March 2013, he is no longer a member of the Carinthian state parliament. Suntinger is married and has a son and a daughter. He lives in Großkirchheim.

Suntinger attracted attention several times with verbal juries.

On May 18, 2016, Suntinger left the FPÖ. As reasons, he cited increasing differences, the “increasing backward development of the party to the extreme right, national edge, after it had previously moved positively towards the center”, “economic loss of reality”, “partial disorientation” and a lack of “Objective and open culture of conversation”, which is expressed “in secret meetings”. He continues to exercise his office as mayor.
