Akram El-Bahay

Akram El-Bahay (* 1976 ) is a German-Egyptian fantasy author .

Life

Akram El-Bahay works as a journalist and author. As the child of an Egyptian father and a German mother, he grew up with influences from two cultures. This is also reflected in his novels: classic fantasy stories about dragons and magic that are as reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings as of oriental fairy tales . With his first novel Flammenwüsten he was nominated for several literary prizes, he won the Fantastik literary prize Seraph in the category “Best Debut” .

He lives with his family on the Lower Rhine .
